Christina Gouldsborough was born and raised in a remote, agricultural area of Northern Ontario and later, in her early 20s she relocated to Airdrie, Alberta where she currently creates from her home studio. After a long career in Environmental Management, Innovation and Tech, she started balancing her technical endeavors with her love of art and studied through guided mentorship from various professional artists. Agricultural lands and the stunning natural surroundings in Canada and abroad serve as her inspiration. Her artwork focuses on using colours, tones, and perspective to represent the landscapes she paints, with one foot firmly planted in realism and the other planted in the exaggeration of the sentiment and emotional attachment experienced while there in the moment. Through oil on canvas, she hopes to capture the human feelings and profound connections that many have with these inspired scenes.
