When the land's surface is colder than the air itself, winter fog creeps in, bringing with it a sensation of calm and serenity akin to mother nature's embrace. It makes our surroundings less clear, allows us to focus on reflection, and gives us a few quick moments to comprehend what we need to.
This image was created from a dog sledding trip I took almost 15 years ago now over the frozen waters of Spray Lakes in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. Spray Lakes are a string of lakes formed along the Spray River, surrounded by breathtaking mountains ranges. I visit this memory often of standing almost completely alone on this frozen body of water with the fog rolling in. It’s probably one of the most peaceful moments in my memory.
Each original painting is gallery wrapped around the top and sides of the 1.5" profile frame in black. No frame required.
